Andrew J. Breuner is a Bozeman, Montana-based criminal defense attorney who serves South-West Montana with quality client-centered legal services. Andy helps his clients in all aspects of criminal defense representation, from pre-charge interviews to appeals and post conviction relief. In addition to criminal matters, Andy is also skilled with clients who need protection of their Federal and State Constitutional rights. These cases span the gamut from protection of legal rights for the disabled, to assurance of provision of proper educational services to students. Andy knows these rights are important to his clients, and works to bring about swift resolution so that his clients can get on with their lives as soon as possible.
Andy maintains a low volume of cases so that he can focus on the needs of each and every client. Through a personal relationship with each client, Andy tailors his services and is better able to achieve effective results for his clients. Andy’s passion for representing criminal defendants is obvious by the quality of legal services he provides them, regardless of whether they are charged with a simple DUI or a complex drug related crime or a violent crime.
Andy has worked extensively with the Bozeman and Gallatin County courts as a criminal defense attorney, both as contractor with the State Office of the Public Defender (OPD) Bozeman office and with private clients. These cases include everything from DUI to violent crimes. He has also spent considerable time representing both children and adults in abuse and neglect cases.
Andy maintains good standing with both the Montana (since 2003) and California (since 1993) State Bar Associations. His experience in California included work with juveniles through the San Francisco Public Defenders office (often with young people caught up in gang related crimes). Additionally, for a number of semesters he managed the Criminal Law Clinic at his alma mater, Santa Clara University Law School, where he also taught courses on constitutional law as it relates to criminal matters.
Andy is currently a member of the Montana Trial Lawyers Association and the Montana Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys.
